What is your channel called and what is it about?

My brand is @adesewajinibi. I’m a lifestyle, fashion, food, and travel content creator based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My content is a reflection of my everyday life. From discovering great food spots and documenting my travels to creating fashion, beauty, and event content. I also enjoy sharing authentic moments that inspire people to embrace life confidently and creatively. My goal is to create content that is both relatable and visually engaging while encouraging people to enjoy life’s everyday moments.

When did you start it? What motivated you at the beginning?

I’ve been creating content for as long as I can remember, but I intentionally started building my brand as a content creator and influencer a few years ago. I’ve always loved storytelling through photos and videos, and social media gave me the opportunity to turn that passion into something meaningful. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a platform where I can connect with people, work with brands, and share experiences that genuinely excite me.

Who were you inspired by? Any influences?

One of my biggest inspirations is Tomike Adeoye. I admire how she effortlessly blends lifestyle, fashion, storytelling, and authenticity while maintaining such a strong personal brand. She showed me that you can create meaningful, high quality content while staying true to yourself, and that’s something I strive for every day.

How would you describe your audience?

My audience is made up of people who enjoy lifestyle, food, fashion, beauty, and travel content. Many of them are young professionals, students, and creatives who appreciate authentic recommendations, relatable storytelling, and high-quality visuals. I love building a community where people feel inspired, entertained, and connected.

What is your creative process? Do you have people who work with you?

Most ideas come from everyday life. I’ll see a beautiful location, try a new restaurant, attend an event, or travel somewhere interesting, and immediately start thinking about how to tell that story creatively. I usually plan my concepts, shoot the content, edit it myself, and manage my social media independently. Depending on the project, I occasionally collaborate with friends, but most of the creative process is hands-on.

How do you monetize your content? Do you also have another job?

I monetize my content through brand collaborations, sponsored campaigns, event partnerships, and influencer marketing opportunities. Outside of content creation, I am also a student while continuing to grow my personal brand. My long-term goal is to become a full-time influencer and content creator.

What is your favourite piece of content you have created?

One of my favourite pieces of content is the podcast episode I recorded with Aruna Revolution, where we had an open conversation about menstrual pads and menstrual health. I appreciated the opportunity to share my perspective on a topic that affects so many people but isn’t always discussed openly. Being part of that conversation reminded me that content can do more than entertain. It can educate, spark meaningful dialogue, and help normalize important discussions. I enjoy creating content that leaves a positive impact, and this podcast is one I’m especially proud of.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

The best part is knowing that my content can inspire people, introduce them to new experiences, and create genuine connections. I love meeting incredible people, collaborating with brands, travelling, and turning ordinary moments into meaningful stories. The most challenging part is keeping up with constantly changing social media algorithms while consistently producing high-quality content. It can be demanding, but the creative process makes it worthwhile.

What are your future plans for your channel?

My vision is to grow my platform into one of Canada’s leading lifestyle brands while collaborating with global companies across travel, fashion, beauty, hospitality, and food. I also hope to create more long-form content, expand into YouTube, and ultimately become a full-time influencer and content creator whose work inspires people around the world.

PAY IT FORWARD: What is another Canadian content creator that you love?

Two Canadian creators whose work I genuinely enjoy are EverythingSewa and Blessing Smith. I admire how they create authentic, engaging lifestyle content while remaining true to themselves. They consistently inspire me with their creativity, storytelling, and the positive communities they’ve built online.
