Banjo the dog needs a new home in the Dartmouth area

Strum a little tune… Banjo’s ready to sing his way into your heart!

Banjo here, still waiting for my big debut with my most coveted audience yet, my new family! I’ve been warming up backstage (aka the shelter), and while the crew treats me great, I’m more than ready to hit the road for my next adventure. Trust me, life with me? It’s never off-key; we’ll be besties in no time.

Now, don’t let my size fool you, I’ve got a big personality, and I’m not afraid to use it. Think “small dog, headliner energy.” I’m super smart, highly food-motivated (snacks = my love language), and always ready to learn the next trick in my repertoire. With the right guidance, patience, and positive reinforcement, I’ll be music to your ears.

I’m looking for a home with older children, 16+, where I can really settle into a steady rhythm. I do best with someone experienced who understands dog body language and can give me clear structure and boundaries, think of it as helping me stay in tune. Once I trust you, though? I’m loyal, affectionate, and all about that strong, lasting bond.

I’ll admit, I can be a bit of a paradox: I might hop right into your space when I’m feeling friendly, but I like my own space respected, too. Meeting new people is easiest when they take it slow, no looming over me or reaching straight for my head. Let’s keep it cool and casual, yeah?

Oh, did I mention I like to sing? I’ve got a voice, and I’m not shy about using it, so a detached home where I can belt out my tunes would suit me best. Toss in a yard to explore, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate Banjo stage.

So what do you say – ready to add a little rhythm, a little personality, and a whole lot of charm to your life?
