Anisa Francoeur is a quintessential artist. Although her professional career as a graphic designer began in 2016 at a local print and signage shop, her artistic journey began earlier in childhood, remaining a constant throughout her life.
The pencil sketches made in the margins of her school notebooks evolved into art class watercolours and murals on her bedroom walls. High school art shows pushed her towards a post-secondary degree in Graphic Design, which sparked her motivation to begin a custom-designed clothing brand. From there, she took her skill set to local businesses, becoming the creative director of Dartmouth’s first cocktail bar, creating their branding, menus, signage, and more. Her path continued on towards local PR/Marketing firms where she honed her professional skills and grew her portfolio. All of these unique experiences culminated in her decision to finally go freelance, and bet on herself to use every tool she’d collected over the years to build her own future.
Now, Anisa spends her days not only designing for, but supporting and uplifting businesses all over Canada to create brands and identities for bars, restaurants, breweries, podcasters, makers, and more. She has expanded her service offering to include custom websites and handmade materials such as hand-painted, wooden cut-outs, and physical signage. Needless to say, Anisa can do it all.
What began as a childhood passion has evolved into a stable, thriving business that allows Anisa to do what she loves every day – mix her love for helping others with the beauty and inspiration that art can bring to each and every person she meets.

Which ’hood are you in?
I live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
What do you do?
I create every day! Full-time freelance artist and graphic designer.
What are you currently working on?
I am always working on many projects at once, wearing lots of hats…literally. But I just finished up some new labels for North Grove Primrose Preserves, finished up a branding project for Like.a.ble Cocktails (who is a wicked influencer for all things hospitality on TikTok), and painted my 5th mural in the Halifax Mural Festival.
Where can we find your work?
All over! My main focus is helping small, local, and new businesses launch their own brands, so I’ve had the opportunity to work with many businesses around Downtown Dartmouth, including Larry’s Sandwiches, Flower St., Janet’s Flowers, a tomato mural at Maria’s Pantry, and merch and a website for The Canteen, along with a large mural in Dartmouth. You can also find my murals and logos all over Halifax. There’s one just off Quinpool featuring a sun, wave, and crab, and another beside Maxwell’s Plum celebrating PRIDE with colourful peonies. One project I’m especially proud to have been part of is creating the 2026–2027 graphics for the Neptune Theatre season. So if you see the posters, social media posts, or signage for the season, that’s my work!
