Dinosaurs are taking over the Halifax Exhibition Centre as Jurassic Quest, North America’s largest travelling dinosaur experience, returns to the city from July 31 to August 3 with four days of family friendly prehistoric fun.
Designed for dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages, the interactive event features more than life sized animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar, including towering favourites such as Tyrannosaurus rex, Spinosaurus and Apatosaurus. Visitors can walk among the massive creatures while learning about the prehistoric world through educational displays and science stations.
Beyond the dinosaur exhibits, families can enjoy a variety of hands on activities, including fossil digs, dinosaur rides, inflatable attractions, baby dinosaur meet and greets, raptor training experiences and LEGO themed play zones. There are also craft stations, derby races and giant brick built dinosaur models to explore throughout the event.
Jurassic Quest also offers a sensory friendly experience during designated hours, featuring reduced noise levels, smaller crowds and a calmer atmosphere to make the event more accessible for visitors with sensory sensitivities.
The event takes place at the Halifax Exhibition Centre in Goodwood, with daily sessions running throughout the long weekend. Children under two receive free admission, while a range of ticket options are available, including activity passes that provide access to rides, fossil digs and other attractions.
