Max is a sweet, loving, cuddly boy. He likes to spend time with his people & will keep tabs on you wherever you go in the house. Max is gentle when receiving treats & will sit-stay when his food is put down, until you tell him OK.
He enjoys his meals, kibble served with a bit of warmed canned food. He enjoys treats throughout the day when called for, likes a nylon chew for a good chomp & quite enjoys ice cubes.
Max knows his basic manners-sit, stay, down & is very responsive when he is called. In fact, he waits until he has permission before coming onto the couch or bed.
He really enjoys his walks & gets excited when he knows we’re getting ready to go. He does well on the leash & is responsive to us when out for walks. He enjoys meeting dogs/people when out for a walk. He will bark when in the yard if he hears other dogs barking or other unknown noises, but comes in immediately when called…so he is a bit of a watchdog.
Overall, Max is a pretty chill dog. Building a trusting relationship with Max will be key to providing a consistent, supportive, loving home for him.
Max is currently on medications for his skin and separation anxiety.
