Kaya may be on the small size for her breed, but she has a big personality and an even bigger heart! This bright, spirited young dog is full of energy and curiosity, and she’s always ready to make a new human friend. Kaya loves treats and already knows how to sit politely for one.
With her playful spirit comes an impressive athletic side. Kaya is surprisingly agile and has been known to scale a fence or two, so she’ll do best with an adopter who can provide a secure environment and plenty of outlets for her energy. She’s a smart girl who will thrive with structure, activity, and someone excited to continue helping her learn and grow.
Kaya has shown some resource guarding around things she values, like toys and food. With patient guidance and positive training, many dogs learn to feel more comfortable sharing their space and belongings, and Kaya would benefit from an adopter willing to support her through that process.
Despite her energetic nature, Kaya has a soft side and the makings of a true snuggle bug. Once she trusts you, she’s happy to soak up attention and companionship. After a life with some ups and downs, she’s ready for the stability of a loving home where she can build confidence and truly blossom.
Kaya does have a Grade 3-4/6 systolic heart murmur that her future family should be aware of and discuss with their veterinarian. Kaya may do best in a home where she is the only animal.
With the right home, Kaya has so much love, loyalty, and joy to give. She’s ready to find someone who will see her potential and help her shine.
