Five Minutes With: Alternative Metal Band Where Giants Once Stood

Where Giants Once Stood is an Alternative Metal band from Halifax, Canada. Featuring high-energy shreddy metal with cyberpunk style aesthetics. Blending 2000s-style sing-along rock with a more modern, produced metal style. Our lyrics blend themes of loneliness and hyper exposure with community and the hope for a better future.

EP or LP?

EP! We can’t afford LPs, and it seems rare that people pay attention to whole records anymore, unless released one single at a time!

Early bird or night owl?

Bit of both, the early hours can be a great time for creativity.

Road or studio?

Definitely road, studio is fun, but I’ve always enjoyed performing the songs more than recording them!

Any shows or albums coming up?

We just dropped our newest single, “Falling Apart,” which is the lead single off our upcoming untitled EP. That will be out in October this year. Keep an eye out for another 2-3 singles over the next few months!

Our next big focus is our showcase and award nomination at the ECMAs on May 21!
