Howdy partner, nice to meet you! My name is Snow, I am a big, friendly giant with my known people, but my livestock guardian dog brain makes me suspicious when I initially meet some new people or see other animals. I can’t help it, I must alert my family to any ‘potential threats’, even if it is just a passing dog. The nice people here at the shelter tell me I am a very good boy, given that I was bred to work every day protecting a herd or flock of animals.
I would really love a home that will appreciate my keen eye of observation and me letting them know if anyone comes by or anything is happening in the neighbourhood.
If you have breed experience, that would be fantastic! If not, please research my breed and see if I would be a good match for your family and lifestyle.

About this column:
Each week we feature animals available for adoption from local shelters in the Halifax area with the hopes that our readers will assist in finding good homes for them. If you, or someone you know, has the resources to take care of one of these animals, please do get in touch with the appropriate shelter via the links provided.
